Often, new home builders don’t pay much attention to the placement of power outlets and light switches. However, you really should- after all, you don’t want the sockets to be in hard-to-reach places that require furniture to be moved out of the way to access a plug. It’s also your chance to put the outlets where you want them- so if you’ve always wanted a flat screen TV in the bathroom, then you can finally achieve that.
