Since 2002, Grayson Homes has been building custom homes in the Triangle area of North Carolina.  Energy efficient homes are our signature standard, with features that add to a good Indoor Air Quality for home.

A standard Grayson home includes spray foam insulation, sealed crawlspace, sealed attic, Energy Star certified, tankless hot water with recirculating pump, higher SEER HVAC, 2×6 wall construction, mechanical ventilation and whole house dehumidification.

A complete Thermal Enclosure System that includes comprehensive air sealing, quality-installed insulation, and high-performance windows, to deliver improved comfort and lower utility bills.  Grayson Homes utilizes Spray Foam Insulation and Argon filled windows.

A high-efficiency Heating, Ventilation, and Cooling System that is designed and installed for optimal performance.  Grayson Homes uses dedicated return air ducts in all bedrooms to help with temperature balancing.  No more hot rooms in the summer months!  Grayson Homes also uses whole house dehumidification and mechanical ventilation for added Indoor Air Quality.

A comprehensive Water Management System to protect roofs, walls, and foundations from moisture damage.  We utilize damp proofing, French drains, and sealed / tempered crawl spaces in all of our homes.

Energy-efficient Lighting and Appliances to help keep utility bills low, while providing high-quality performance and longevity.  Dimmable LED lighting is standard in our homes.

Attention to Detail – We try to build each home as if it were our own, so we pay attention to the smallest detail to ensure the customer is satisfied with their new home, i.e. adding a trey ceiling in the master bedroom.

We do not like to say ‘No’ to our customers – Sometimes customers want unique features that another builder will say ‘No, we can’t do this’.  We feel as a custom builder that we should try to do what they are asking for.  In most cases, there may be additional costs which are discussed upfront, i.e. doing a solid granite backsplash in the kitchen.  Yes, we have done this for a recent customer.

Simplify the build process – most of our customers say that we made the build cycle simple and enjoyable.  We have streamlined the process so that the customer can meet with our expert partners to help with important selections for their homes, i.e. cabinets, tile, lights, etc.

Communication – our customers also appreciate that we communicate with them regularly as to the status of their home, and the schedule.
